Usha Martin University (UMU) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme commenced with the ceremonial flag hoisting, followed by the National Song, National Anthem, and an impressive NSS Parade.

The event was graced by the esteemed dignitaries of UMU, including Brig. (Dr.) Sumar Vir Singh (PVC-Admin), Dr. Shiv Pratap Verma (Registrar), Prof. Barij N. Sinha (Dean of Academics), and Dr. Anil Kr. Mishra (Campus Director), along with distinguished faculty members, staff, and students.

The celebration continued with a vibrant cultural programme featuring patriotic songs, dance performances, and inspiring speeches, which reflected the spirit of patriotism and national pride among the students and university community.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Priyanka Pallavi, followed by the National Anthem.

The entire programme was successfully coordinated and conducted by Dr. Jayantika Pal (Dean of Student Welfare), Ms. Priya Priyanka Tudu, and Dr. Bela Rani Bhagat. The celebration served as a meaningful tribute to the nation and inspired everyone to uphold the values of unity, freedom, responsibility, and patriotism.
