Ranchi, 24/03/25 – Usha Martin University proudly inaugurated its Soundproof Media Studio and Newsroom Simulation Room, an initiative to enhance the practical learning experience for students of Journalism and Mass Communication. It was officially inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Madhulika Kaushik, in a ceremony attended by all Deans, Heads of all departments, and students of Journalism and Mass Communication.
The newly established media studio and newsroom simulation room will provide hands-on training in news production, broadcast journalism, and digital content creation. This cutting-edge infrastructure is designed to benefit students of Journalism and Mass Communication, enabling them to gain real-world exposure to the media industry. The facility will serve as a valuable resource for faculty members and students from allied departments, offering interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities in media studies, digital storytelling, and content creation.
Apart from benefiting students, the facility will also support faculty members in producing high-quality MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) for SWAYAM, the Government of India’s online learning platform. With advanced recording and editing equipment, educators will be able to create engaging and professional-grade educational content, contributing to the university’s commitment to digital learning and academic excellence.
