“IT Nexus – Connecting Ecosystems, Careers, and Growth”

Industry Expert Talk on “IT Nexus – Connecting Ecosystems, Careers, and Growth” was organized by the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology on 3rd December 2024 for final year Computer Science students. This lecture session presented a useful perspective on the transformational role of IT, with an emphasis on shaping interconnected ecosystems, enhancing career opportunities, and stimulating sustainable growth.

The session was presented by Dr. Nadeem Akhtar, a distinguished professional with over 20 years of industry experience. He has served in Oracle USA, Wipro Singapore, and many other renowned IT companies. In the session, he highlighted how interconnected technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and Internet of Things (IoT) are transforming industries.

Dr. Akhtar also explained how learning new skills is important to stay relevant in the changing job market. He demonstrated how IT solutions can address global challenges in areas such as healthcare, education and environmental sustainability. He emphasized the need for a collaborative and ethical approach to technological advancement.

The session also included an interesting aptitude test and Q&A session, which made it even more useful. The talk inspired the participants to use IT for innovation and impactful growth.
