Ranchi, September 25, 2026: Usha Martin University students showcased commendable sporting performances at Khel Mahotsav 2026 – Jharkhand State Sports Championship, organised by the Sports Wing, Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) in association with the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI), Jharkhand Chapter.

The two-day state-level championship was held on 24 and 25 September 2026 at the permanent campus of Central University of Jharkhand, Cheri-Manatu, Ranchi. Teams and athletes from across Jharkhand participated in the championship and showcased their sporting talent and competitive spirit.

The Usha Martin University Volleyball Team delivered an impressive performance and reached the semifinal stage of the championship. The team members were awarded participation certificates in recognition of their participation and performance in the tournament.

Adding another achievement to the University’s sporting accomplishments, Sameer Biruly delivered an excellent performance in athletics and won silver medals in both the 100-metre and 200-metre events.

The achievements reflect the dedication, discipline and sporting talent of the students of Usha Martin University. The University congratulates the Volleyball team and Sameer Birly on their performances and wishes them continued success in their future sporting endeavours.
