Usha Martin University Celebrates World IP Day with Focus on “IP and Music”

Ranchi, April 25: The Incubation Cell, in collaboration with the Faculty of Legal Studies at Usha Martin University, celebrated World Intellectual Property (IP) Day on April 25 with great enthusiasm. The event highlighted this year’s global theme, “IP and Music: Feel the Beat of IP,” emphasizing the role of intellectual property in the world of music and creativity.

The session featured Mr. Ayush, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and a practicing advocate at the Jharkhand High Court, representing Black and Whites LLP, as the keynote speaker. He shared valuable insights into the legal dimensions of intellectual property and its evolving significance in the creative and technological sectors.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Professor B. N. Sinha, Dean of Academics. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Professor Madhulika Kaushik, addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of IP awareness in academia and innovation.

The lecture was well-received by students and faculty members from various departments, who actively participated in the interactive session. Dr. Lopamudra Satapathy, Coordinator of the Incubation Centre, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the guest speaker and the enthusiastic participation of attendees.
