Mega Plantation Drive organized in the service villages of Usha Martin University.

On July 28 2023, the Jannum and Narayansoso villages of the Angara Block participated in a Mega Plantation campaign organized by Usha Martin University’s Faculty of Agriculture and Engineering in conjunction with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and the National Service Scheme, the university’s NSS and UBA volunteers, together with BSc Hons. Agriculture students distributed 75 seedlings to families in the service villages. In these rural areas, students have also surveyed local households. Usha Martin University has adopted the surrounding communities and is committed to working with and supporting them. The university organizes such activities from time to time to help the local communities and foster a more environmentally friendly atmosphere. The students’ survey data also aids the institution in meeting the needs and exceeding the expectations of the local community.

On this occasion, UBA coordinator Dr. Lopamudra Satapathy, NSS Coordinator Dr. Abhisek Pandey, NSS wing officer Dr. Shubhrasekhar Chakraborty, Dr. Jagesh Ranjan, teaching faculties and nonteaching staff of both the departments were also present.
