International Women’s Day celebrated at Usha Martin University

Ranchi, March 9, 2022: Usha Martin University celebrated International Women’s Day with a lot of fanfare. On this occasion, various competitions were organized for the students by the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Cell, which included poster making, face painting, caption writing, flower decoration, and debate.Along with this, a vibrant cultural program was also organized, which was inaugurated by Pro-Chancellor Prof. SC Garg. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Madhulika Kaushik and Registrar Dr. Anil Mishra were also present at the event.

Prof. Madhulika Kaushik addressed the students and explained why the 8th of March is celebrated as International Women’s Day every year. She also encouraged women to identify their strength and put it to good use to improve their lives.

On this occasion, the students performed a skit called ‘Muskaan ki Jeet,’ in which they conveyed the message that today’s girls are forging their own identities in society, daring to fly their dreams, and need to be supported and the evils like gender discrimination should be eradicated from society.

All the faculty and students of the University enthusiastically participated in the programs and the winners were awarded at the end of the event.
