Ranchi, April 13, 2026: Usha Martin University, in collaboration with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, organised an awareness programme on girls’ menstrual health and hygiene at the Damodar Block Auditorium.

Students from Kasturba Gandhi Girls School and Usha Martin University attended the programme. It began with registration, followed by a welcome address and inauguration ceremony.

The sessions covered adolescent reproductive health, menstrual hygiene practices, safe use and disposal of sanitary products, nutrition during menstruation, and common myths and facts. Subject experts conducted the sessions with practical demonstrations.

An interactive question-and-answer session provided a safe and open space for students to raise concerns and seek clarification. The programme also included testimonial sharing, which encouraged participants to express personal experiences and learn from one another.
