Ranchi, March 28, 2026: Usha Martin University organized an engaging and forward-looking session titled “Exploring R & D Opportunities with our MoU Partners” on March 28, 2026. The programme brought together faculty members to deliberate on strengthening research collaborations and expanding academic-industry linkages.

The session was formally addressed by Prof. B. N. Sinha, Dean Academics, who emphasized the growing importance of meaningful partnerships in research and development. He highlighted how MoU-driven collaborations can open avenues for funded projects, joint publications, faculty exchange, and innovation-led initiatives. He also encouraged departments to identify domain-specific opportunities that align with institutional priorities and societal needs.

Following this, Prof. Milind, Pro Vice Chancellor, addressed the gathering with a focused discussion on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and Board of Practical Training (BOPT). He stressed the need for active participation from every department to ensure that students benefit from structured industry exposure and hands-on training. He also underlined that awareness and timely engagement with such platforms can significantly enhance employability and practical competence among students.

The session witnessed thoughtful participation from faculty members, who shared ideas and raised queries on implementing collaborative research models and integrating apprenticeship opportunities within academic frameworks. The discussion reflected a collective intent to move beyond conventional teaching and towards a more applied and research-oriented academic culture.

The programme concluded on a constructive note, with a renewed commitment from all departments to actively pursue R&D collaborations and strengthen industry-academia engagement for holistic institutional growth.
