Usha Martin University Celebrates International Women’s Day with “Give to Gain” Theme

The International Women’s Day programme was organized by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) Cell at Usha Martin University with the inspiring motto “Give to Gain.”

The event was graced by our Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof.Madhulika Kaushik as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished dignitaries present on the occasion included Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof.Milind, Dean Academic Prof. B. N. Sinha, Campus Director Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra, Registrar Dr. Shiv PratapVerma, ICC Coordinator Dr.AnupamaVerma, along with Heads of Departments, ICC members, faculty members, and students.

The programme began with virtual lamp lighting, followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana performed by the students, creating a positive and auspicious atmosphere. This was followed by a presentation on the “Tricolour of Empowerment,” highlighting the significance of the colours purple, green, and white, symbolizing strength, growth, and peace. The presentation also focused on women’s safety, the challenges faced by women in Indian society, and the important contributions of women in various sectors such as education, administration, sports, and entrepreneurship.

During the programme, the Honourable Vice Chancellor was felicitated by the University in recognition of her achievements and valuable contributions to the University and the academic community.

The event was further enriched by an insightful address by the Honourable Vice Chancellor on Women Empowerment, where she encouraged students to believe in their abilities, work with confidence, and contribute positively to the development of society.

Students also performed the motivational song “Aashayein,” conveying the message that women have the strength to overcome challenges and achieve their dreams. The programme also featured a NukkadNatak (street play) presented by the students, highlighting the struggles and achievements of women in society and delivering a powerful social message to the audience.
