Advancing Green Energy: Usha Martin University Hosts Keynote Lecture

The keynote lecture on Green Energy for Sustainable Development by Dr. Om Prakash, Assistant Professor, BIT Mesra, delivered on March 21, 2025, at Usha Martin University, Ranchi, highlighted the significance of alternative fuels like hydrogen and bio-oil in the transition to sustainable energy. Hydrogen, a zero-emission fuel, holds promise for clean transportation and industrial applications but faces challenges related to production costs and storage. Bio-oil, derived from biomass, offers a renewable substitute for fossil fuels, though it requires further refinement for widespread use. The lecture emphasized the need for technological advancements, policy support, and infrastructure development to accelerate the adoption of these green energy solutions. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Abhishek Pandey, HoD FEAS, Dr. Ashutosh Kumar, HoD Mechanical, Dr. Nanda Shakti, Research Coordinator, and esteemed faculty members of the Mechanical Department, who actively participated in discussions on sustainable energy advancements
