Report on the Occasion of “Har GharTiranga”Organised by NSS, Usha Martin University

National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Usha Martin University, in collaboration with the 26th Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Ranchi, successfully organised a “Har Ghar Tiranga” march to celebrate and promote the spirit of patriotism under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative. This event was organised on 13-08-2025.

In this event,Mr. Rajiv Bhatt; Commandant officer,26th Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Ranchi; Dr Jagesh Kumar Ranjan, NSS programme coordinator; Mr Shasanka Dev Bhuyan, program officer (NSS unit 2);Dr. Shubhrasekhar Chakraborty, program officer (NSS unit 1);few others faculty and staff members along with NSS volunteers participated in this programme. Among these 150 students’ volunteers took part.

On the day of the event, around 240 enthusiastic students of Usha Martin University gathered on campus, carrying the Indian tricolour with pride and energy. The march commenced from the University premises and proceeded towards the SSB camp, Ranchi, covering the route with slogans and chants that resonated with national pride.

Upon reaching the SSB camp, the participants were warmly welcomed by the officers and personnel of the 26 Bn SSB. A brief interaction session was organised where officials addressed the students, highlighting the importance of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign in fostering unity, respect for the national flag, and awareness of India’s freedom struggle.

The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving participants with a deepened sense of respect for the nation and its values. The joint effort by NSS, Usha Martin University, and 26 Bn SSB not only promoted the campaign’s message but also strengthened the bond between the academic community and the security forces.
