Ranchi, 03.05.2024– The team of the upcoming Nagpuri film, “Panchayat kar Khela,” graced the premises of Usha Martin University on 3rd May for an engaging discussion session with students. The interactive session delved into the intricacies of Nagpuri cinema, its unique style, and the burgeoning demand it commands in contemporary times.
Led by esteemed Film Director Ashok Mahto, the team shared insights into the significance of Nagpuri language and the pivotal role that the youth are poised to play in the evolution of the Nagpuri film industry in the years ahead.
Director Ashok Mahto expressed, “Nagpuri cinema is not just a medium of entertainment but also a reflection of our culture and identity. It’s heartening to witness the enthusiasm among the youth towards preserving and promoting our linguistic heritage through cinema.”
As a gesture of appreciation for their active participation, five students were awarded free passes to attend the screening of “Panchayat kar Khela,” slated for release on 10th May at JD High Street. The event, meticulously organized under the guidance of UMU Registrar Anilkumar Singh and coordinated by Dr. Rupa Kumari, Head of Department from the Faculty of Mass Communication and Journalism, provided a platform for students to immerse themselves in the nuances of Nagpuri filmmaking.
“This interaction has been a truly enriching experience for our students, offering them valuable insights into the Nagpuri film industry and its work culture,” remarked Dr. Rupa Kumari.
