An educational visit to the Anatomy Museum and Cadaver Dissection Hall at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi was successfully organized for the students of the Department of Paramedical Sciences, Usha Martin University on 08 April 2026.
A total of 120 students, accompanied by faculty members(Ms Mitali Monalisha,Ms. Prity kumari, Ms. Shrestha Malik, Ms. Shayanti, Mr. Ritesh, Mrs. Rakhi Toppo), participated in this academic visit. The primary objective of the visit was to enhance the students’ understanding of human anatomy through direct observation of preserved specimens and cadaveric study, which plays a crucial role in medical and paramedical education.
During the visit, students explored the Anatomy Museum where a wide range of specimens, models, and charts related to various systems of the human body were displayed. These exhibits helped students correlate theoretical knowledge with practical insights.
The cadaver study session was the most significant part of the visit. Students were given the opportunity to observe real human cadavers, which provided them with a deeper understanding of anatomical structures, their positions, and relationships. Faculty members and museum staff guided the students and explained important anatomical details, making the session highly interactive and informative.
The visit was conducted under proper supervision, and all students maintained discipline, wore proper uniforms, aprons, and ID cards as instructed.
Overall, the educational visit was highly beneficial and enriching for the students. It helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical exposure, thereby strengthening their foundational knowledge in anatomy.
