Ranchi, March 24, 2026: Usha Martin University successfully organized an awareness programme titled “Cybercrimes in Today’s Digital Age” on March 24, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the University Auditorium. The event was conducted in collaboration with media partner Prabhat Khabar.

The session witnessed the presence of distinguished guests from the media and radio industry, including Dr. Manjit Singh, Brand Event Radio Head, Prabhat Khabar; Mr. Sameer, RJ, Radio Dhoom (Prabhat Khabar); Ms. Rajeshwari, RJ, Radio Dhoom (Prabhat Khabar); and Mrs. Kajal Tiwari, Manager – Advertisement, Prabhat Khabar.

The programme commenced with the felicitation of the guests by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Madhulika Kaushik. In their addresses, the invited speakers shared insights on cyber awareness, highlighting the growing importance of cybersecurity in today’s increasingly digital environment.

A notable feature of the programme was the active participation of students. Several students shared personal experiences and incidents related to cybercrime, which led to a thoughtful and engaging discussion. This exchange helped create practical awareness about online safety, responsible digital behaviour, and preventive measures.

During the session, Dr. Manjit Singh also introduced the “Nasha Mukti Abhiyan,” drawing attention to the need for awareness and responsible conduct among young people.

The programme proved to be both informative and engaging. It offered students an opportunity to interact with industry professionals and gain a clearer understanding of cyber threats and their prevention in the contemporary digital landscape.
