Ranchi, October 11, 2025 — Usha Martin University organised an insightful session on “Insights into R&D Project Writing for Submission to Funding Agencies,” delivered by Prof. B. N. Sinha, Dean Academics. The programme aimed to guide faculty members in preparing effective and competitive research proposals for national and international funding bodies.

The session was graced by Prof. Milind, Pro Vice Chancellor; Dr. Shiv Pratap Verma, Registrar; Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra, Campus Director; Dr. Leena Shrivastav, Deputy Registrar; and all faculty members of the university.

Prof. Sinha explained the process of writing research proposals step by step, covering conceptualization, literature review, methodology design, budgeting, and evaluation criteria. He shared practical insights drawn from his extensive experience in academic research and project management. A comprehensive list of funding agencies supporting projects across various disciplines was also discussed to encourage wider participation from faculty members.

The interactive session concluded with a question-and-answer segment that allowed participants to clarify doubts and share their own experiences. The exchange of ideas made the session highly engaging and informative. Participants appreciated the clarity and relevance of  the discussion, which enhanced their understanding of research proposal development and submission procedures.
