Usha Martin University Organised a ‘Mental Health’ Session for Students

In view of the increasing psychological pressure on children and the stress caused by it, a programme was organised at Usha Martin University. In the said programme, the students enrolled in the first year were motivated to face mental stress on a priority basis. During this, the students were addressed by senior and experienced officials of the university.

The programme was conducted by the Warden of the girls’ hostel, Ayesha Khan. While explaining the objective of the programme, she informed that 16% of the children between 16 and 29 years of age are suffering from mental stress due to some reason or the other. It is necessary for children to remain strong mentally, physically and psychologically.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Milind, while addressing the children, gave information on the topic “Importance of Mindfulness in Life”. Apart from this, Campus Director Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra told the students the ways to reduce stress and Prof. B.N. Sinha discussed ways to stay mentally healthy at the professional level. More than 200 students participated in this program.
