The Felicitation Ceremony for the successful completion of the NEP 2020 Orientation Program was held with great enthusiasm on 6th March 2025 in the Board Room of Usha Martin University. The event, which commenced at 12:30 PM, celebrated the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in making the program a success, recognizing their contributions towards spreading awareness and understanding of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome to all esteemed guests, faculty members, and participants. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of accomplishment as university officials and academicians shared their insights on the impact of NEP 2020 in shaping the future of education.
A key highlight of the event was the recognition of individuals and teams who played a crucial role in organizing and participating in the orientation sessions. Special appreciation was extended to the winners of the Final Quiz on NEP 2020: M.D. Nematullah (1st place), Rohit Kumar (2nd place), and Madhumita Dutta (3rd place), who demonstrated outstanding knowledge and engagement with the policy’s framework.
The event was honored by the presence of Pro-Chancellor SC Garg, the Guest of Honor, who applauded the efforts of students and SAARTHI members. He encouraged them to continue their initiatives in promoting the objectives of NEP 2020, inspiring all attendees with his words of motivation.
Adding to the significance of the event, Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra emphasized the university’s commitment to implementing NEP 2020 and highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving its goals.
The program was further enriched by the presence of Dean Faculty and NEP Coordinator, Dr. Arvind Hans, and Dean Research, Dr. Amir Khusru Akhtar, who shared their perspectives on the long-term academic and research implications of NEP 2020.
Also joining the event was SAARTHI Coordinator and Head of the BPT Department, Dr. Akanksha Anand Saxena, who acknowledged the dedication of the SAARTHI team and the supporting members who worked tirelessly to ensure the program’s success.
The six SAARTHI members – Abhash Dubey, Priya Moitra, Sakshi Rai, Shiwangi Kumari, Divya Kumari, and Nandini Kumari – were recognized for their remarkable contributions in coordinating the event.
Additionally, Sakshi Kumari, Anushka Mandal (Anchor), and Sushmita Anand, who worked under SAARTHI, were also acknowledged for their invaluable efforts in managing logistics and ensuring the smooth execution of the program.
Throughout the event, speakers emphasized the importance of continuous learning, innovation, and adaptability in education. They encouraged students and educators alike to integrate NEP 2020 principles into their academic and professional journeys, fostering a more inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
