Ranchi, 12th August 2024:Usha Martin University hosted a successful “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan”, an initiative of the Government of Indiafor a drug-free and healthy India. The event, focused on raising awareness about the dangers of drug use, saw the active participation of the university’s Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Saurav Chaturvedi, Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra, faculty members, and students.
In his keynote address, Professor Saurav Chaturvedi highlighted the severe harmful effects of drugs, urging students to stay away from substance abuse and to be vigilant in their communities.
Students from the Department of Pharmacy performed a play that vividly depicted the dangers of drug use, effectively conveying the anti-drug message to the audience.
All students and faculty members present at the event took a pledgeto promote a drug-free environment on campus and beyond. The event was coordinated by the Dean of Students’ Welfare, Dr. Jayantika Pal.
