The Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences at Usha Martin University (UMU) organized a Rakhi & Craft Exhibition on August 28th, held at the UMU campus in Ranchi. This heartwarming event was conducted in collaboration with the Deepshikha NGO, a bastion of support and empowerment for individuals with developmental disabilities.
What makes this event truly special is that every product showcased was meticulously crafted with the assistance of students from Deepshikha NGO who are living with developmental disabilities. Their creativity and determination shone brightly through the array of beautiful handcrafted items on display.
The event was graced by the presence of Gopika Anand, Principal of Deepshikha, and Amita Rani, Vice Principal of Deepshikha, who attended as honoured guests. Their support and encouragement have been instrumental in making this event a resounding success.
Registrar, Anil Kumar Mishra, along with Leena Srivastava, Deputy Registrar, and Dean Academics, Prof. Himanshu Narayan jointly inaugurated the exhibition. Their presence underscored the university’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and promoting the remarkable talents of individuals with developmental disabilities.
