UMU Hosts a Faculty Development Program on National Education Policy

Usha Martin University is proud to announce the commencement of a week-long Faculty Development Program (FDP) dedicated to exploring India’s National Education Policy (NEP). The FDP, scheduled from August 21st to August 25th, 2023, aims to equip external and internal faculty members with comprehensive knowledge about the NEP and its implications for the education sector.

The inaugural session of the FDP was graced by Dr Rahul Purwar, Secretary of the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Jharkhand, who delivered a comprehensive overview of the NEP. Dr Purwar also shed light on the government’s ongoing efforts to implement the NEP in Jharkhand.

Participants in the FDP come from various esteemed institutions in and around Ranchi, including St. Xavier’s College, Jamshedpur Cooperative College, and Yogada Satsang Mahavidyalaya. This diverse group of educators and scholars brings a wealth of perspectives to the program, fostering collaborative learning and engagement.

Over five days, the FDP will feature keynote speakers renowned for their expertise in the NEP. Distinguished speakers include Prof. Dev Vrat Singh, Prof. Suresh Garg, Prof. Pitabas Pradhan, Prof. Madhulika Kaushik, Dr Sashi Singh, Dr Raj Kumar Sharma, Dr Ramesh Sharma, and Prof. Raman Jha. These experts will provide valuable insights and engage in discussions to facilitate a deeper understanding of the NEP and its potential impact on India’s education landscape.
